I bought this on a whim because it was so inexpensive and I need a setting powder. I use the translucent. It has become a must-have for me. It's light but extremely effective. I use it alone to reduce shine and over foundation or BB cream for setting. It really keeps things in place all day without any caking. I think it's because it's so very fine that it doesn't seem to ever look chalky. Highly recommend.

I thought I would be better than what it is. This makes my skin really pale and ghost like and probably would work better on tan skin.

I was so excited to try this product but I was very disappointed. I bought the shimmer one and it has way to much shimmer in it. It makes you look like a glitter bomb went off in your face.I have yet to try the others but I think they would be much better than this one.

TIP: When initially opening this package, instead of peeling off the sticker over the holes, peel back a small bit and cut it off. This way when you pour out product, it is in a manageable amount.
Also, the powder puff helps keep the powder at the base so don't remove it.

I love the soft, matte finish of this product! Even though it is white it doesn't shine, but gives a sort of radiance.
Controls my oil patches.
Doesn't cake.

Since this is cheaper than other powders, I will continue to buy it. But I don't think,as a product it's superior. I guess powder is powder. So for the price, I would get it again.

I have to admit, I was skeptical of purchasing an oil reducing powder for such an inexpensive price. This made me doubly skeptical as I have incredibly oily, sensitive skin and almost all my face makeup melts off by the end of the workday. I put it on over some liquid foundation to control shine and oil and I was blown away with the results. At the end of the day my face still has a matte look and my complexion looks naturally flawless. It absolutely does not look like you have powder on; instead, it gives the impression that your skin is glowing and radiant from within. Easily one of the best products that I have ever purchased from this site. Thank you, ELF!

So I've used the translucent powder for years. I love it and I'm always telling people to give it a chance.
This review is not, however, a review about how great a face powder this is (it's wonderful by the way.)
So I was on vacation and I was desperate. I had slept in, my hair looked gross, and I didn't have my dry shampoo. Out of desperation I grabbed my HD Powder and a cotton ball and dabbed it in my roots, ruffled my hair, and voila. It worked jsut as well as (or maybe even better than) my salon dry shampoo. And the best part was, if it got on my face, all the better!
