I currently only own three colors, birthday suit, fashionista and red carpet. I usually dab on the product carefully and make sure that if I use the gloss that it has completely dried before hand. Dab a tiny bit of the gloss in the middle and carefully spread it evenly out. without gloss this color can easily last about 4 hours for me then I need a touch up. (that's with drinking water all day also) I am in love with the color "birthday suit" its just so fun!

This is NOT A STAIN!!!
Ok honestly, it's like ELF tried to formulate a long wear lip color, and it failed so miserably they decided to just call it a stain and market it anyway. It doesn't stain your lips at all. The color is great, but its not going to last with our without the gloss. If you don't use the gloss it's dry as hell, which would be acceptable if it stayed on.... With the gloss, it's sticky and gross, not slippery at all. It's like those glosses that you would get when you're 5 years old in a Barbie kit or something,., only worse :(. I actually can't believe that I'm seeing positive reviews about the gloss, and it makes me not want to trust any of the review here.
Don't waste your money on these... Go with the plain pen tip stain.

I learned to dab it on slightly and used my finger to distribute it, quickly..let it dry as long as possible before putting on the shiny coat..I find that it's good for maybe an hour..tho I love the clear gloss but disappointed

Made the mistake of applying the gloss before the stain was fully dry. Oops. Caused the color to smear and become uneven but that was my own fault for not waiting.
The only complaint I have is that Red Carpet is more of a hot pink than the dark red that the picture shoes which is very disappointing.

This is so underrated! I ordered heartbreaker, first date, and birthday suit. Heartbreaker was more nude than expected. I was hoping for a dark coral. First date & birthday suit are great colors! I plan on trying more colors and I'll definitely reorder first date & birthday suit!

I finally got the lip stains & I was very dissatisfied w the pigment & was very sticky after it dried. I do like the gloss & the stickyness goes away with the gloss, but then the color doesn't last as good as the pen lip stains

I got this in Birthday Suit and instead of being hot pink, it's pale. The gloss seals it in, but not for long. The gloss is alright, but kind of sticky. I would have rather spent my money on an ELF Matte Lip Color, which I love.

To be fair to the product, first you apply the color and DO NOT RUB YOUR LIPS one against the other. After it dries, if you want, I personally do not do it during the day, add the gloss. This is the Perfect way to do it, otherwise, if you add the gloss while the color is still wet, IT WILL FADE. In regards to the color not accurate, they look exactly in my screen and what I got. You have to make sure that the colors in your computer are accurate. Someone wrote that she expected like a warm brown-red pink when ordering the "Lucky Lady" and she got a Coral; CORAL is the Exact color that shows in my screen, so it must be your screen. I've used these for a long time, and I can eat, drink my soda and it doesn't go away neither stains the glass, I LOVE THEM, and the people I have given them as present, Love them too.
