Apply dry all over the eyelid with a brush for a subtle wash of color or apply wet for a vibrant effect. Choose a light color to apply all over the eyelid as a base or to highlight. Next, apply a medium shade over the eyelid or in the crease to contour. Then apply the darkest shade to define and line the eye for depth and a smoky look.

The brush doesn't pick up any of the color. I thought maybe it was the brush I was using, but I tried using multiple eyeshadow brushes and it didn't pick up any of the color at all. I used my finger, which did pick up some of the color. I wish this palette was of better quality because the colors are gorgeous. It's unfortunate.

If I rate this product using it dry it would be 2 stars, but use it wet and it is a 5 star all the way. I use a damp brush to do my eyeshadow then a wet eyeliner brush to use one of the darker shades for eyeliner. No mess and stays all day. If you get too intense of a color let it dry and then blend it out. Love this one!

I bought both when they had the 50% off sale after wanting them for quite a while. All colors are very shimmery, for me they are more shimmery in person than in the online photo, I was expecting at least a few matte shades. As a previous review says, it is very difficult to apply, I couldn't get anything off of a few shades even after scraping off the top layer. Color wears off in a couple of hours in dry winter, can't imagine how it will look in summer. I've tried it with and without primer, didn't see much of a difference other than a bit longer staying power with the primer. Overall very dissapointed, nothing special other than the package.

I bought this in NYC and California, and they are wonderful! You absolutely have to use an eyelid primer. There is also some fallout when it is worn dry so you need to use an under eye concealer after applying your eyeshadow. I suggest a cream concealer first, then apply a powder with the flawless concealer brush from the studio line or the essential blending brush... These eyeshadows are very pigmented, shimmery, and they go on beautifully. The case has a large mirror and I LOVE that. I suggest using a sponge or glitter eyeshadow brush if used wet... Just buy this!

This pallet has a bunch of great colors, they are regular eye shadow not cream so they are a little messy. Only other thing that is important to know is this product is very fragile, originally when I ordered it the product arrived broken and in a state where it could not be used! However I am very happy to report that elf replaced it free of charge with no hassle and shipped the replacement as soon as they received my complaint. So to sum up great colors, a little messy and fragile, but over all worth it.

Let me start off by saying the only good thing about this product is the packaging the large mirror is great and the packaging is very well made. While the product is basically trash, you need to literally force your brush into the colors to get some product on your brush, it barely shows in your eye even with urban decay potion primer (which pretty much makes any cheap eyeshadow show up) and it is so flaky and get all over the place. When you first look at it you like omg i need to have it too cute then when u use it you realize you just wasted your money. Honestly one of the poor ELF products i've tried and I have tried a ton.
