DAY EDITION

Overall Opinion: This is a good deal seeing as I bought mine during a sale.

Packaging: The palette feels sturdy but not luxurious, which is fine because of the low price point. It's glossy and sleek and so I don't mind throwing it in my purse. The magnet could be a little stronger but I slip it into an inner pocket in my bag and feel safe enough. I would not let it free float in a large bag as I do feel it could come open. The mirror inside is large and there is a spot for a small sponge tip applicator (I removed ELFs and put in a different one that is much nicer).

Shadows: Now this is what everyone wants to know! Overall it's a mixed bag, it has some duds and some gorgeous shades.

Pigmention: Matte = pretty sheer and a bit powdery, Shimmer = sheer but buildable, buttery texture, Metallic = Pigmented and buttery!

Shades: This has a very warm tone overall. There are a majority of rust, bronzes, plums & a few coppers, maroons, pinks and some taupe-y browns too.

Lasting power: Use a primer and you're golden. I have tried it with ELF's mineral primer but I would suggest using another brand's primer if you have it. I had no creasing and minimal fading but WITHOUT and primer it's a different story. The mattes disappear and the others fade quite a bit.

I love this product all colors with pigment are great! The colors go on well not tp thick at all i got the day pallete but i think it is also versatile enough for a nightvtime smoky eye. I will definetly be purchasing this in diffrent colors.

I happen to have purchased the Day eyeshadow beauty book. It comes with a nice array of neutral colored shades that are great for wear both day and night. And, the beauty book is very portable and compact which makes it easy to just slip into your purse and go!

The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is pretty good overall. And, when paired with eyeshadow primer, the eyeshadows last all day on my eyes with out ever creasing or fading.

I LOVE these. They're awesome for travel because you can get several days' looks from one single palette. They're small but they pack lots of beautiful colors. The only thing is that elf is trying to sell you guys the Night edition as part of their limited edition spring line. The only difference between the two is that they have different covers.

Perfect for on the go. Small enough to keep in your purse in case you need a touch up. Great colors with good pigmentation, some better then others. I own this in the day and night editions. But I have to say I use the day edition almost everyday. I purchased a second day book just to have when I hit bottom on this one.
You just cant go wrong here.
NOTE*** I do use a small eyeshadow brush and eyeshadow primer for the perfect look and it lasts all day.***

I love this product! It doesn't last very long unless you use a primer (I recommend e.l.f. Essential Eyelid Primer in Sheer). When used with a primer I've had it last from 8:00am to 6:00pm - even with a little crying and eye-rubbing. The shades are very versatile and make it fun to put on makeup in the morning because you get to decide what you want that day. There is a good mix of shimmery and matte shades, but even the shimmery shades aren't overdone. The pallette is a small size that is convenient, with enough shadow to last a while.

I found the Night palette at a local retailer and could not leave without it! It has an amazing range of fun, bright colors that are perfect for spring and summer. If you think the colors on your computer screen are bright, just wait 'til you see them in person! I like to do a "rainbow eye," and I've been looking for a good yellow. My search is over: I have all the colors in the rainbow in one handy case.
A few of the colors don't apply well, even with primer, and I did have some creasing issues (not uncommon on my oily lids). But even with those problems, this set is totally worth it.

I got this in the Day edition. I love it. Each eyeshadow is very pigmented and had amazing cute colors. My only problem is they eyeshadows don't look good when you layer them. Like when you put them in your crease or at the outter corner of your eye. It just doesn't look right. But for just applying one color they all look amazing

The shimmer colors are fantastic. The matte colors - meh. Not that great.

The one thing that annoys me is the glue that keeps the eyeshadow palettes in the book isn't strong enough, so everytime I open in a new one pops out. They're so small and hard to grasp that it just makes more of a mess. Maybe I had a fluke book. Who knows. But it is quite annoying.
