Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Bristles Are Coarse I originally got the Studio Powder Brush, but I saw this one and thought I should be using the total face brush for applying foundation, not just a powder brush. It's bristles are kind of coarse and hurt a little. It's definitely not soft like it says in the description. I immediately went back to the Studio Powder Brush. I like that one better.?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just pay the $2 more for the Studio brush... I was quite excited to get this because of the price and how soft the brush looked. It isn't very soft at all, the bristles aren't sleek and smooth but dull. The brush first shed when I got it, which I figured was normal. 2 months later with little usage and it looked quite pathetic. I just threw it out and went to Target and bought the Studio version..much better and haven't had any problems!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointing... I'm wondering if I should buy another one of these brushes to be sure, but when I bought it the bristles immediately fell out and were all over my face and in my eyes. There are quick fixes for this problem but not really worth doing on a $1 brush. This is the only brush by e.l.f. that has disappointed me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst brush I have ever used from any brand at all This brush is awful. It was very, very rough on the face. The bristles were so scratchy that it made my face red and irritated. Some of their stuff is okay. Now you know why their stuff is so cheap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Really Hate This Brush I'm only 13 but I have a knack for makeup. I know a good brush when I see one and this is not one of them! Because I am a student and I don't have lots of money at hand, I can only buy what I can afford. So I walk in to Target, go to the makeup section, and go to the ELF section to score some brushes. I only had about 20 bucks in my pocket, so I got super excited when I saw a total face brush for only one dollar! I bought two and used them the next day. I used one to apply foundation and the other to apply powder. I immediately noticed that the brushes had a chemical smell. Another downside is that the brush sheds immensely. When I washed the brushes, the red dye was coming out and when they dried, the bristles were curly and frayed. This brush is super disappointing coming from ELF and I will not repurchase. I would not recommend this brush to a friend and it's a complete waste of money. I would rather cough up 30 bucks for a high end brush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome and functional staple After seeing emilynoel83's first elf brushes video, I wanted to see if this truly was as great as she promised for years now. ?At target, this nice, bigger brush seemed to all look like the rest of its type(so no hit or miss) so I took the plunge and bought it for a dollar. ?I must say, it may not be the softest but for animal hair it is quite soft. ? It picks up powders great and you can totally use this for your whole face. ?Using the end of the bristles flat on your face, you can use it as a regular powder brush to set makeup or blot. ?Use the bristles on its side, ?you can flip it and the flatter side fits well in the hollows of the cheek or on the cheekbones. ?This brush is pretty dense but not too dense and it picks up just the right amount. ?It loses a star for being a wee bit scratchy. ?Also, when you wash it you want the brush cleanser combed through the brush not swirling it. ?Also, oil or silicone based products make it loose it's shape if there is any residue so make sure it is completely rinsable and the fix for this is simply washing again the right way and leaving it bristles down to dry. ?It also loses the star for the bristles fraying a bit and taking a bit more to dry. ?Also, while washing the slight synthetic dye scent is enhanced and not very pleasant but it lessens after drying(I could only detect it when wet). Otherwise, this a great product and a staple if you don't already own brushes like this. ?It's only a dollar and it acts quite a bit more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great application and super soft I bought this brush a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it! It's super soft and it holds the right amount of powder. It also doesn't shed which is especially important to me!
