Well, the bristles are densely packed and soft and unfortunately, elf is more about quantity than quality so I would not buy this brush just generally but I would also suggest that brushes not be purchased during supersales since you are going to get exactly what you pay for. Elf has refused to replace the brushes I bought, including this mineral powder brush, despite them all having the same issue of not being constructed with glue and being a two piece...thing. But yes, the bristles are dense enough to distribute any powder.

I find this to be perfect for my blushes! I had purchased some other blush brushes a while back, but after just one wash they became really scratchy and annoying to use. So I have been dealing with them until I ordered this princess of a brush. I ordered two actually, with the hopes to solve my scratch-and-stiff brush problem. So glad I did, now I want a few more. I always highlight, contour and color my cheeks with three cordinating blush colors, and with these brushes I get the prettiest glow and flush! They pick up and place product very well, and, of course, are quite soft and smooth. This brush is really handy to powder perfect small areas of the face!

Not as big as i expected but still a very nice brush. Like all the Studio brushes it's super soft & because of it's size & how the bristels are cut it can literally perform any makeup job. I don't own a MAC #109 but it looks very similar and I can tell it's going to be perfect for liquid, cream or powder foundation.
