I have this eyeliner in black and gold. The gold is very pretty, just as shown in the picture. The black for everyday use.

The eyeliner goes on very smoothly and dries very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by how long it lasts and how little it smudges! It's not waterproof, and the bottom of my eyes does fade a lot more quickly.

I'm used to pencil eyeliners, so I thought the brush was not as convenient. It turns out the little brush is easy to use and great for making "wings".

This product is such a good find!

I just bought Two gel liners from e.l.f. but I am only reviewing one! Why? The black I purchased was completely dried out but I do not blame the company because stuff like that does happen. So now I have a cute little gumdrop of utter darkness and a nice clean jar to do with as I wish. Now on with the review of this product, the one I could use that is.

Busted this sucker out in the middle of swatching my e.l.f. haul and found it pretty dark and creamy in its shiny glass case. I used the handy applicator that came with the product to draw a few solid lines on my hand quite disappointed with the color of the eyeliner. Then I realized that the swatches were really a dark blue, not black. For a midnight color as the company claims this is perfect, gorgeously dark with just a hint of blue that can tone down an extreme look just a bit. I wish the stores near me had more colors to chose from so I can review more that I would wear but this is enough.

Once on,this dark blue goes absolutely no where with or without primer. Like every gel liner I have tried there is a short period where this product will move and smudge but after just a couple of minutes this liner will stay in place. Washing it off can be a challenge but that works for me because a little lighter than black liner can be good in the morning if you do not feel like adding on any more bright and early. As I said this can be good for eyes but it spells disaster for swatches. This stuff is hard to get off! Like permanent marker difficulty.

Now, on to packaging. This product comes in a cardboard outer box that has only one mission in life which is to torture me. It has a multitude of treacherous flaps that refuse to release the product but once this liner is free for it's cage, it fails to disappoint me. The glass and plastic container is absolutely precious. Small and square with a tiny circular well of product that is plenty for the price. The other component to this purchase is the brush. This brush is nearly incapable of fine lines but with a steady hand of an artist or skilled makeup wearer, it can be achieved! The brush is just not the finest or best quality but it is definitely worth the buy.

As an overview: This nearly black blue matte liner stays on dark all day, regardless of getting wet and can be a chore to remove it is so good. It does dry out, though I am not sure how long that takes, but even after it is used up, the small containers are cute and sturdy enough to use for other things. You can even fill them with your favorite loose powder pigment, just be careful when opening it. These are a brilliant buy and I'll be back to buy that blasted black! (alliteration) XD

This is my favorite eyeliner ever. It comes on easily, smooth. I use it everyday; for over two years now and I still get compliments on it.

Con: I can never finish a whole container. When there is about 1/3 of the product left, its not creamy textured anymore but clumpy and hard to get onto the brush to apply. But it doesn't matter because I have backups when it gets like this.

Also, I have oily skin so I always had a problem with makeup staying 'fresh' throughout the day. This eyeliner is no different, it tends to fade and smudge on the edges by the end of the day (but I find it is much longer lasting than most I've tried). I always do a little touch-up every 4 or so hours when able. Besides that, I absolutely love this cream eyeliner! I keep it on stock and I doubt I'll be trying any new eyeliner for as long as this is still manufactured and high-quality. I <3 E.L.F. for selling this and at such an affordable price! It's practically a steal.

I used liquid eyeliner before & it would always come off with an hour at school. I have oily eyelids but this doesn't come off at all, not even after gym class. <3 Love it.

I dont usually go off raving every product i buy but this eyeliner sucks big time. The eyeliner smudges like crazy!! dont buy it. not worth it. I used this product to create the "cateye" look and the freaking liner creases on to my lid makes me look like i have a black eye. Im just warning you

Literally the best eye liner I have ever used.. it doesn't even come close to comparing with Maybelline's gel eye liner. It's super easy to apply (glides on smoothly) and holds its color throughout the day. The pot also doesn't dry out and it doesn't smear even under heavy perspiration

i wear black eyeliner often and i always have issues with it smudging. this is perfect! it doesn't smudge or wear off as the day goes on. and i'm a waitress at an outdoor bar. i sweat my butt off all day long. but even after a 12-hour shift my eyeliner is still in-tact. i cant say that about any other makeup.
i might suggest getting a better brush than the one that comes with it. it works just fine for now but the handle on the brush is really small. which makes it harder to apply. and just from cleaning it twice i can tell the bristles aren't that great

Oh how I love this eye liner! It has become part of my daily routine. I apply the elf shimmer pencil liner, this ontop, set it with a matte black from one of my elf pallets, and finish it up with an elf liquid liner. It may seem like a lot, but it STAYS PUT and is super black. I am very happy with this product, and at this price, I will purchase again and again!

As a first time gel eyeliner user, this eyeliner was so pigmented and easy to use. I purchased in black, but I can't wait to try this in the other colors. The container is small, but lasts a long time.

I really liked this product because, for how inexpensive it is, it works REALLY good. I put it on the top of my bottom lid, above my lashes, and while it doesn't last as long as I would prefer, it still works much better than any other liner that I've tried to wear like this.
