The reason I am depressed is that I cannot believe that I paid an order of magnitude more for the name brand version of this product. In my defence, this wasn't available when I purchased that. For the price it's great.

Tips: hold it upside down as you are rotating the cap. Also, I think this sort of product works better over foundation if you use it rather than under - it will tend to move around if you apply anything other than a light powder finsh over it.

Really - nothing gets rid of wrinkles but this is pretty darn good.

This doesn't seem to make a difference. I am still tinkering with it, trying to see the results some other reviewers are seeing. I have not used it under my eyes, just on my forehead and the one (one!) nasolabial wrinkle.

The applicator gets "clogged" easily.

This product is amazing if you apply it right. Within minutes my crows feet and frown lines between my eyebrows are a lot less noticable! The trick is to apply just a small amount and let it dry COMPLETELY! I dab it on my lines with the applicator, pat it with my fingertip, then I fix my hair, brush my teeth, etc. Do not rub it. And I can't stress enough that you have to let it dry completely. I made the mistake, the first time I tried it, of putting on a lot (thinking..if a little works well, a lot must work better). It will just flake off. Which is great. Since you don't need much, it will last longer. Also, it doesn't work right under my eyes. No matter how little I use, it still flakes. But for crows feet, frown lines, forehead lines, smile lines...LOVE IT!!!

This is the third wrinkle tightner product I've used and its the best so far. It does diminish the appearance of the wrinkles around my mouth, on the forehead and the nasal labial fold. The only problem is that it flakes. I pat it on with the applicator on the end of the tube, and if I leave it and keep myself from touching it any further and let it dry, then it doesn't flake as much. Once my foundation is on its fine.
I'm 52 and have some wrinkles. I would definitely buy this again!
In spite of the flaking I give it 5 stars due to the price and the ingredients. I feel it is a pretty low chemical load.

The first time I bought this it was easy to apply, the tube worked well and my wrinkles did appear reduced and faded. I compared it to the $50 one I was using and it works just as well if not better! Ths second time I purchased it, the container leaked and it seemed "separated." I now keep the container upright and shake before appling and it works better. I put this on my finger then apply because the container is too sloppy to directly apply to my skin. ELF needs to update and put in a squeeze tube and all these negitive comments on the container would be eliminated.

I've never heard of a product like this before, that would temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles rather than overpriced products that 'gradually' reduce them. So I decided to try it, and was surprised by how well it worked! The wrinkles running from my nose to my mouth were smoothed out completely!! I only wish it would last for longer.

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to give this a shot. It didn't really do anything for me. I applied it as shown in the video and it didn't really tighten up any small wrinkles. I was disappointed. My mom tried it too and she had the same results as me. This is my only big failure with e.l.f. so that's not too bad.

I really wanted to love this product, but it didn't really produce the desired effect. I put it on correctly, (must use very small amount & pat into the skin) I found that when I went to use under eye concealer, it got very flaky & dry. The concealer became clumpy, not smooth. The lines under my eyes actually looked worse than before.
I also used on nose to mouth lines. Here it worked a little better, but I found the smoothness didn't last very long.

The best way I found to use the product is to reduce the shine & large pores on my nose. It makes your skin very matte, & I found this was helpful on my nose. It did seem to absorb the oil & refine the pores. As a wrinkle remover, it was not effective, so I'm glad I found another use for it.

My teenager and I both love this refiner, so you do not need to be old to enjoy it! It is great for smoothing big pores, old acne "dings" and for mattifying oily spots for hours. When I use it around my nose, the pores and the oil AND the lines go away. Yay!

I almost threw it away the first time I used it. I put it under my eyes and it was a dry streaky mess that made my almost-invisible lines really pop! Then I followed the advice of another reviewer to watch the video and now I'm hooked. I would say avoid using it on dark circles, which was my mistake. It is just too matte for under eye. But that said, it is great for bigger problems!

(1) As other reviewers wrote, it's amazing for the puffy line under your "eye-bag" just above your cheek, whether you have a wrinkle there from age or just had a late night or slept on your face:). Apply product in little pats along the line from the outside in, and don't go up into the under-eye area.

(2) Seriously, this stuff is great, great, great as temporary botox for between your brows. It is instant improvement and I find I look even better an hour or so after application. I also use it as a serum between my brows and after a week I saw a difference in the AM!

(3) I'm almost 50 and so I am happy this refiner works on the the evil "nasolabial fold" between your nose and cheek, especially right around my nose.

(4) I use it on my upper lip to smooth lines keep oil from ruining lipstick. A smudge across upper lip keeps lipstick in place like a great primer!

The product goes on very matte, so you really need to apply it under powder or foundation or yes, it will be visible on your skin. As others have said, the ELF Flawless foundation is not great over this product. I use another brand with a sponge applicator for night when I want coverage. Days, I use the refiner, then ELF Studio Pressed Powder with the Studio Powder brush, then mineral concealer, and I'm perfect.

I always use the applicator in the top of the Refiner. I just can't figure out why some people complain about it! It's very high quality neoprene-like material, like a finger, but hygienic, flexible, and and easier than your own finger for small areas.

This refiner is really fast and easy if you do it right: Just a tiny bit, and always pat it don't don't rub or stroke. Then let it dry (very important!). Don't blend anything into it while it is wet or you might have streaks.

The ingredients are really impressive, and so good for your skin. I don't know why ELF is selling a nearly identical item in the mineral line for 2 dollars more, and less in the container. I don't see how it could be any better!
