I was scared to try this product but really needed to find the perfect nude. Praline is wonderful for deep skin tone. doesn't make your lips look ashy and if you want a matte look its perfect, if you want a glossy look just add a gloss on top. Its wonderful and awesome to have found the perfect nude for my skin tone.

I have used several high end department store products for many years, but never have any of their lipsticks performed the way this product does. It is smooth, moisturizing, it stays on for hours...I honestly would never have believed that a lipstick at this price could outdo my overpriced underperforming lipsticks. I only have to redo my lipstick after lunch or dinner; if I'm out.
I would definitely recommend everyone give it just 1 day. You'll be amazed and I'm willing to bet you won't go back to any other lipstick.
That being said, if you're a glossy lipstick girl this isn't for you. It is exactly what it says it is "matte". But I tend toward a more natural look and don't really like glossy sticky lipstick, but that's personal preference. I love it!

I use Natural and Tea Rose

Applies smooth.
These are great as base colors or on their own.
They taste fine.
I love the design of the packaging!
Good amount of product in tube.
I haven't noticed that they get inside creases and become noticeable to someone else.
They do wear off faster than I prefer.
They aren't bone dry, but have that matte dry feeling when I rub my lips together.

I was really excited to try this because it got good reviews, but I guess I just got a bad one. As soon as I took the top off, the lipstick fell out of the container and it was melted at the top, and broken in half. I tried to put it back in the container, but when I twisted the bottom, it didn't work! I'm hesitant to buy another.

I received this product in Tea Rose as a promotional offer through e.l.f. While I don't usually wear lipstick, I find myself going to this product when I do. I really love the mauve tint of this product. It's the perfect color for fair-skinned ladies because it isn't an overwhelming pink or purple. I also use this in conjunction with e.l.f.'s Lip Primer and Pout Perfecter gloss (I believe the shade is glow).

OK, This lipstick is nice because it is shaped like a pencil, which makes it easy to precisely apply. Used alone, it is terrible. If you apply to bare lips, it is clumpy, makes any chapped or dry areas really obvious, is difficult to blend and just looks terrible and wears off REALLY fast, even under gloss. HOWEVER, if you use it with the elf primer/plumper and lip definer/shaper pencil, it actually looks pretty decent and last a lot longer. I've found that a very light application of the primer (blend well), followed by the plumper, then lined with the lip shaper pencil under the matte lip color makes the matte lip color blend better and then it doesn't settle into the lines or chapped areas. This also makes it last longer. It looks good topped with a gloss, as well. I give it three stars because it would be nice to be able to apply alone without all the extra products and because there is little variation in the colors. I have the nearly nude, tea rose and coral and they all look very similar, especially the coral and nude colors. I'm thinking of getting the red, too. Hopefully that one doesn't look the same as the others. I would recommend it, as long as you get the other products with it.

I have the rich red and praline... I have caramel toned skin so the rich red is perfect for my skin tone and the praline works as more of a nude for me.

For a matte lipstick its very moisterizing, great pigment, taste and smells amazing. Its not very long lasting, but as long as you set it you'll get a few hours. I'm not a huge fan of lipstick period but I love this product. And because its matte you have so many options as far as mixing and matching with other colors and glosses.
