I bought my first brush belt about 2 years ago from elf. And for the price I was pleased. I recently about a week ago re-ordered a new one. This one came in the mail with a smell. It's very strong and overwhelming. I noticed the material is a little different than my old one that may be why. But it's almost like a tar smell.

The only thing that seemed to somewhat get rid of the smell is Lysol I sprayed it down and wiped it, also put dryer sheets in the front pockets. Hope this helps!

When this belt arrived I took it out of the package and was over whelmed by the horrible smell. I figured 'eh it faux leather it's got a foul smell I'll let it air out' I let it air out for over a month and it still has a horrible smell. I've febreezed it, thrown fragrance on it and nothing is removing this smell. Sadly I'm about to throw this away because the smell is actually taking over the closet that I have it hidden in. I haven't and won't use it because the smell is so intense.

This product is so disappointing because the smell of the belt is inappropriate under any circumstance. I do not know how to get rid of it. When i started using it many people were complaining of the smell so i had to stop using it all together.

I love this belt. The one reason i gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is, it smells horrible. Like cheap plastic. Idk if i was the unlucky one who received a defective, but no one seems to have mentioned it in the reviews. I just want to know how to get rid of the stench!!!!!

I love this, however I do wish it had some shorter slots for my short/wide handled brushes. This fits most of my brushes without any issues and it fits me great. I'm quite skinny so it's nice to know this tightens up enough to stay secure. I'm considering another one for my other hip as I have A LOT of brushes and disposables.

This thing is a steal. I'm a Makeup artist and you just are not going to get a better deal on a brush belt. my only gripe is the brush slots are all too deep and they swallow up most standard size brushes. Mine is holding up really well, but I wear it over my shoulder rather than around my waist.

I work in a retail cosmetics store and wear this belt almost everyday. It is great for what you pay but after daily wear and tear/bending down to get products from drawers/forgetting to take it off on my lunch break and sitting in it- the straps are hanging on to the belt by a thread. It's lasted me less than a year but I will definitely buy another one. I also wish they would add more variety to the brush holders- my eyeliner brush gets lost in it and my bronzer brush doesn't fit. The back pockets could be more open as well because I keep mints and my phone in there and there's not room for much else. But overall I definitely recommend!

I was a little hesitant to buy this at first because I was worried it wouldn't fit around my waist and it didn't give measurements on the strap. Plus sized ladies, buy this brush belt! I am a size 22 and it fits me with tons of room to spare! I can fit all of my brushes for my freelance and bridal work in this belt, as well as business cards, foam applicators, and mascara/lip gloss/lip stick disposables. This is a great belt for anyone who does makeup on a professional level.

This belt is awesome, it has brought my professional appearance up to a 10. Every photoshoot I've done, I came looking prepared and organized. Someone always comments on how great the belt looks. I love that the belt is adjustable. The belt makes everything so much easier. When I have my brushes at home, I can wrap the belt around my stand up mirror and whenever I need to go to a shoot or do make up for an event I can just unclick the buckle and go. The only issue I have with the belt is that the pockets are all the same depth. When I bought the product the reviews all said this, but i figured that I could make do. I've stuffed cotton balls into some of the pockets, which helps a little bit, but every shoot I end up digging in my belt for a brush that fell down.
If, for whatever reason, I needed to get another one, I would in a heartbeat. It's great as long as you have a little creativity to keep your brushes from falling into the abyss. ;)
